Next drive thru flu clinic is October 11

Quick reminder, the City-Cowley County Health Department is putting on drive-thru flu clinics. The next one will take place at the Agri-Business Building in Arkansas City on Wednesday, October 11 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no appointment necessary, attendees just need to bring their photo ID and insurance card.

Pershing Park has new bathrooms

Electrical internship available

City of Winfield and Winfield High School have partnered to create an Electrical Internship. Each school year, one high school Senior interested in pursuing a career in Electric Utility is chosen for this internship. Governor Laura Kelly announced that total tax collections for September 2023 were $991.6 million. That is $42.0 million, or 4.4%, more than the estimate.
