Kansas lawmakers yesterday rejected an effort to keep mask mandates in place in Kansas. The governor’s order required people to wear masks indoors at businesses and public spaces, and outdoors when they can’t be socially distanced. But legislative leaders overturned the order.
A public meeting is planned for Monday, April 5th, to address the impact of winter storm Uri on natural gas. It’s set for 7 p.m. at the Community Center at Baden Square in Winfield.

The Cowley County Historical Society and Museum is making plans to reopen soon. Starting April 10th, the museum will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 until 4 p.m, according to ctnewsonline.com. Masks are required to enter.
