In a continued effort to enhance road safety and reduce impaired driving incidents, the Arkansas City Police Department will conduct a check lane on Saturday, April 19, 2025. This safety initiative is part of the department’s ongoing commitment to reducing alcohol- and drug-related crashes by increasing law enforcement presence and visibility during high-risk times. Officers will be stationed at strategic locations throughout the city to monitor for signs of impaired driving, ensure seat belt compliance, and enforce other traffic laws.
