The Southwestern College Division of Nursing invites the public to attend a come-and-go open house at the Nursing Simulation Center on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the lower level of the Winfield Health Care Center at William Newton Hospital (1305 E. 5th Ave.). The event will begin with a partnership agreement signing at 2:15 p.m. The partnership includes William Newton Hospital, Butler Community College, Cowley College, and Southwestern College with each entity playing an important role in the launch of the space. The official ribbon cutting with the Winfield Chamber of Commerce will be at 2:30 p.m. The Nursing Simulation Center is an educational facility designed to provide hands-on, experiential learning for nursing students. Equipped with realistic patient simulators, advanced medical technology, and interactive learning environments, the center allows learners to practice clinical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making in a safe, controlled setting.
