The beginning of October marks the start of flu season and there is no better way to stay safe than with a yearly flu shot. Flu shots are proven to provide effective protection and reduce both the severity and length of illness. However, since busy schedules can often make it difficult to find the time for an appointment, the Health Department will once again be hosting two special Drive-Thru Flu Clinics. The first Drive-Thru Flu Clinic will take place at Agri-Business Building in Arkansas City on Wednesday, October 9 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The second one will take place at the Winfield Fairgrounds on Wednesday, October 23 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no appointment necessary, attendees just need to bring their photo ID and insurance card.
