The Cowley County Board of County Commissioners proudly announced today that Cowley County has been designated a Purple Heart County. Commission Chairman Alan Groom presented a proclamation, which was unanimously adopted by the Board, demonstrating their commitment to supporting and honoring the military community. This designation pays tribute to local veterans who were wounded or killed in combat, acknowledging and honoring their sacrifices for our country.
