Winfield police say they have received several reports from area residents that were contacted by phone from someone claiming to be with a Winfield restaurant. The person calling has both asked for credit card information, as well as made strange requests, like wanting to meet up in a local park. If you receive an unexpected call from a restaurant, please do not give them any information. When in doubt, hang up and call the business directly using the published phone number.
