The Arkansas City Police Department continues to receive complaints regarding semi truck traffic. Officers routinely watch for semi trucks not following the designated truck route. Since January 1st, 2024, officers have issued (23) Truck Route Violation citations. Seven of those citations were issued to drivers traveling on 8th Street. We would like to remind truckers to please follow the appropriate truck route shown below and watch for signs, posted throughout the city streets/highway prohibiting truck traffic.
