Police make arrest in domestic disturbance case

On 04/13/2024, at 11:47pm, Officers from the El Dorado Police Department were dispatched to the 600 blk of W. Cave Springs Ave for the report of a physical disturbance with shots fired. Upon arrival, officers identified a 33-year-old female victim in the driveway at 621 W. Cave Springs. The victim was not hit by the gunfire but had sustained an injury to her face during the physical altercation. Officers attempted to contact the suspect, who was identified as 30-year-old Tyler Taylor of El Dorado. Taylor refused to come out of the residence or answer the door at which time officers secured the area and called for additional resources. Negotiators with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office contacted Taylor by phone, and after two hours of negotiations, Taylor gave himself up and this incident was resolved peacefully. Taylor was taken into custody and later transported to the Butler County Jail, where he faces charges of aggravated assault, domestic battery, and criminal discharge of a firearm.
