Plan Ahead: Before the festivities begin, make sure you have a plan for how you’ll get home safely. Designate a friend who will remain sober to be your driver. Intervene if Necessary: If you notice someone else has been drinking and intends to drive, intervene. Take their keys and assist them in arranging for a sober ride home. Party Hosting Responsibility: If you’re hosting a gathering where alcohol will be served, ensure that all guests have a designated sober driver before they leave. Buckle Up: Whether you’ve been drinking or not, always wear your seat belt. It’s your best protection against impaired drivers and accidents.
