Winfield Fire and EMS says on the afternoon of July 21st, 911 got a call about a young boy between 8-12 years is potentially missing. City Lake officials were notified by a bystander that she noticed the young male swimming but did no longer see the same swimmer after taking her eyes off him, to view something behind her. After multiple hours of searching, using 4 different sonar machines with varying frequencies, divers, and rescue individuals in the water with no results combined with no reports of any missing children the search was called off at 1747 hrs.
