EF3 tornado hits southern Kansas

Several hundred buildings were destroyed by an EF 3 tornado that touched down in southern Kansas on Friday night. The Wichita Eagle said the tornado first touched down in rural Sedgwick County, then moved into Butler County and did extensive damage in the Andover area. Four people were hurt in Andover, including two firefighters responding to a call. All of the injuries were said to be minor. The tornado traveled for 12.75 miles and was on the ground for about 21 minutes. The Governor visited the area over the weekend.
