Marking Work Zone Safety Week

Buildings and bridges across Kansas will be lit up in orange lights to help raise awareness of work zone safety for the week of April 11-15. Numerous KDOT buildings across the state will be lit in orange as well as the Governor’s Mansion in Topeka, the Visitors’ Center in the Capitol, the Front of the Topeka City Hall building, and the Travel Information Center on I-70 near Goodland. People also are encouraged to wear something orange as part of Go Orange Day in Kansas on Wednesday, April 13, to show their support and appreciation for highway workers and their efforts.
