The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office has been notified that residents may receive a phone call from “Amazon” in the form of a recorded voice indicating there has been a large charge to the victim’s Amazon account. This is yet one more scam in an attempt to get your personal information. First, Amazon will not do this. And, second, the Amazon Store card is connected to a bank. There is no need to call to obtain information they already have if you have an account.
