Lawmakers get big raises

Kansas lawmakers are getting a big raise for next year. For rank-and-file legislators, total compensation will go from $30,000 a year to nearly $58,000, an increase of 93%. The House Speaker and Senate president are set to make more than $85,000 per year, up from $44,000.
