Cooking program is this afternoon

The Ark City Public Library is hosting a cooking program this afternoon, for all ages. Learn how to make pumpkin bread. It’s a “come and go” program. You can arrive at your convenience while supplies last. The program is 3:30 until 6 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Ark City gets new police officer

During the Nov. 7, 2023, City Commission meeting, Ethan Stephenson was sworn in as an officer with the Arkansas City Police Department. Stephenson began employment with the department on Oct. 19, 2023, and has completed all of the rigorous phases of the police department hiring process.
