USD 465 in Winfield is getting set for their summer food service program. Children can participate, even if they’re not attending summer school. The program runs June 5th-June 29th. Children ages 1 to 18 can receive free meals at open locations. Breakfast and lunch is provided for all students attending summer school. Breakfast is available Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m., and lunch is available for an hour starting at 11:30 a.m. The open locations are Irving Elementary and Whittier Elementary. Adults may purchase meals, at a cost of $2.50 for breakfast and $4.50 for lunch.
