The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office says local law enforcement authorities have recovered two stolen vehicles, and arrested several people in connection to the thefts. A report says on Monday, officials found a 2014 Dodge Journey in the 100 block of East 13th Avenue in Winfield. Authorities arrested Trey Moore on suspicion of motor vehicle theft and for three outstanding warrants, and Brandon Drum was arrested for a probation violation warrant. Also on Monday, Ark City police did a traffic stop in the 29000 Block of the U.S. 77 bypass. Police arrested Jason Hess, who was found to be driving a 2017 GMC 2500 pickup truck that had been reported stolen to the sheriff’s office, according to ctnewsonline.com. He was arrested on drug-related charges.
