The Ark City Police Department says with soccer season upon us and increased activity near the Dow Sports Complex, we want to remind everyone that parking is not permitted on the west side of S 6th Street from Pierce to 4th and Lincoln as well as the east side of S 6th Street on the curve (shown in picture on their Facebook page). This is a designated no parking zone for safety reasons, especially with the high number of pedestrians in the area. Our city crew is currently working to clean up and make the yellow curbs more visible so drivers can clearly see the restriction.
