Authorities respond to Udall wreck

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office says On December 1, 2025, at approximately 3:40 pm the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched for the report of a reckless driver just west of the city of Udall, traveling east on K-15 Highway. A Deputy responded and while enroute was notified that a vehicle had wrecked near K-15 and 41st Road. The vehicle went off of the road and struck a bridge and then veered to the north and went into the ditch. Both airbags were deployed. Udall Police Chief Eric King was first on scene and reported both passengers were alive. The vehicle, a black, 2019, BMW, driven by 52 year-old Casey Liska of Wichita was transported to the Wesely Emergency Room in Derby for his injuries. A passenger, 39 year old Winfield resident, Sara Peckham was transported to William Newton Hospital in Winfield. The extent of injuries is not known at this time. Drugs, drug paraphernalia and alcohol were located in the vehicle. This case is still under investigation.
