On August 18, 2024, the Arkansas City Police Department took a report of a stolen 2015 Cadillac ATS from the 100 block of West Adams Avenue. Investigators dedicated numerous hours to follow-up efforts and successfully obtained leads in the investigation. Using automated license plate readers, they tracked the stolen vehicle into Blaine County, Oklahoma. On August 25, 2024, the Blaine County Sheriff’s Department deputies located the reported stolen vehicle, which had been abandoned in their county. The vehicle’s owners have been notified of its recovery. This investigation remains ongoing.
