A pillar of the Arkansas City community will be honored during an awards ceremony Tuesday evening for his dedication and service. The City of Arkansas City Joe B. Avery Community Spirit Award Committee will present the family of Otis Morrow with a Special Distinction in Community Service certificate during its annual award presentation at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Avery Learning Center, 2500 N. 15th St. Morrow, who passed away on Jan. 2, 2023, was born on Jan. 24, 1948. Morrow was an Attorney at Law for 50 years, serving as the City Attorney for Arkansas City for 30 years. He was an active member of the Rotary Club in Arkansas City and played a vital role in the Etzanoa Conservancy. Morrow was a vital member of the Chamber of Commerce, having served as president.
