Red Cross sets local blood drives

The American Red Cross continues to experience a national blood shortage and asks the public to book a time to give as soon as possible to overcome a late summer shortfall. To ensure the blood supply recovers, the Red Cross must collect 10,000 additional blood products each week over the next month to meet hospital and patient needs. A blood drive is scheduled for Ark City on October 6th, at Central Christian Church, from noon until 6 p.m. There’s a blood drive set for the Cowley County Community College Brown Center from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on October 12th. And in Winfield, you can check out a blood drive on October 26th from noon until 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church.
