Crews set to repair Ark City bridge

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will begin a project to repair the U.S. 77 bridge on the south edge of Arkansas City on March 23, conditions permitting. The repairs will rehabilitate the bridge deck to allow for smoother movement of traffic. The work will begin with the northbound lanes, with traffic switched to head-to-head on the southbound lanes with a width restriction of 10 feet, six inches. Once the northbound lanes are complete, traffic will switch to the repaired lanes to allow the contractor to finish the work.
