Recently, City of Arkansas City staff from multiple departments participated in filming a training video with the Wichita State University Environmental Finance Center focused on cybersecurity and utility operations. The video will be incorporated into a training program for water operators and highlights how cybersecurity and physical security work together to protect critical infrastructure. The City of Arkansas City experienced a cybersecurity incident on September 22, 2024, involving the Water Treatment Facility.
