Winfield City Lake above full pool

Thanks to recent precipitation, the City of Winfield reports that the Winfield City Lake is now “above full pool.” Winfield City lake rangers and crews have been busy preparing the lake for an influx of visitors including normal startup measures of road maintenance, mowing, trimming and opening winterized restroom facilities. Other improvements include upgrades to picnic facilities and boat access. New this season is an automated payment and permit enforcement system. Those who use the facility will now use an in-person kiosk located at the South Entrance or access an online permitting system via phone or computer similar to those found at facilities across the state. This permit system uses license plates to track permits and lake rangers will use license plate readers to enforce permitting requirements. The Winfield City Lake is not a State Park, we are city-owned. Therefore, State Park passes DO NOT permit at the Winfield City Lake. A permit is required anywhere on grounds. All cars, boats, and campers must have a permit.
