The Kansas Department of Transportation – South Central Kansas will be starting a pavement marking project soon on U.S. 166 HWY in Cowley County. This project will be from the north junction of U.S. 77 HWY/U.S. 166 HWY at Arkansas City (roundabout) east to Chautauqua County line, a distance of 28.4 miles. Work is expected to begin around April 1 and be completed around May 3. During the work, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car, and motorists should be prepared to slow down and stop. Delays are expected, up to 15 minutes.
