The City of Winfield says they are excited to see the work beginning for our newest park update-Cochran Park. This park will see new life as it is updated with new fencing to separate the area from the alley, new adjustable basketball goals, racquetball court updates, the addition of a pickleball net to the racquetball court, a complete walking loop and the new playground with turf surfacing under construction. This is funded by set aside dollars over several years. Construction set to be complete by the end of the year. The project was identified as a priority by the community in the 2019 community planning survey which resulted in the Master Parks and Trails Plan.
