This is a big holiday travel week, so we’re watching gas prices closely. Gasbuddy.com puts the statewide average price for gas today at $2.78 a gallon, which is down a dime in the last week and it’s off nearly 50 cents a gallon in the last month. A year ago the statewide average was almost $3 a gallon. The national average today is at $3.10 a gallon.
