With Cowley College planning the start of a NIRA sanctioned rodeo team at its Sumner Campus, a fundraising kickoff for the proposed rodeo team, equine, and ag programs called Boots and Black Tie Gala will be held Thursday, September 22 at the Sumner Campus in Wellington. The event will feature a social hour from 6-6:30 p.m., dinner from 6:30-7:15 p.m., a presentation from new Cowley College president Dr. Randy Smith from 7:15-7:30 p.m., and music and dancing from 7:30-8:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available.
