As part of the state budget signed on Wednesday by Governor Laura Kelly, Cowley College will receive $4 million in funding to establish and furnish a Career and Technical Education Center on the Arkansas City campus, provided the funds are matched by non-state resources. Community College leadership and their advocates championed this necessary workforce initiative for south-central Kansas because of the need to scale-up training to meet business demands for skilled employees.
