Governor Kelly signs bills into law

Governor Laura Kelly has signed several bipartisan bills into law. They include House Bill 2594, which will create an exemption in law related to vehicle identification number (VIN) offenses for antique vehicles. House Bill 2329 will amend current law relating to pipeline safety rules and regulations that are overseen and enforced by the Kansas Corporation Commission and allow the KCC to adopt rules and regulations to conform with the federal natural gas pipeline safety act. House Bill 2560 will extend the sunset for the Water Right Transition Assistance Program (WTAP) from July 1, 2022, to July 1, 2030, (Section 2) and extend the sunset for various existing fees of the Pesticide and Fertilizer Program within the Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) from July 1, 2023, to July 1, 2028.
