Message from the local medical community about COVID 19

A group of local medical providers has come out with a message for Cowley County residents about stopping the spread of COVID 19. They say Emergency departments and clinics are overflowing. Inpatient and ICU beds are at capacity. Lab, radiology, and respiratory services are busier than ever. And they say they have heard many citizens dismiss the omicron variant as less threatening, but they say people are still sick and dying. They ask people to get vaccinated if you are able. Stay home when you’re sick, and wash your hands frequently. The message was signed by the SCK Health Network, William Newton Hospital Network, Community Health Center in Cowley County, and other medical providers.
