The Winfield Police Department says Blue Santa’s helpers (all volunteers from the Winfield Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association) made a shopping trip to Walmart Winfield – Pike Rd last week. Through a Walmart community grant, Operation Blue Santa received $2,500 to use toward the purchase of toys and household goods for area families in need. That donation – along with many others from area businesses, civic organizations, and individuals – has enabled the program to continue for its 11th year in Winfield.
