Senator Bob Dole has died. A statement from his family read, yesterday, “Senator Robert Joseph Dole died early this morning in his sleep. At his death, at age 98, he had served the United States of America faithfully for 79 years.” We learned earlier this year that Dole was being treated for lung cancer. President Biden ordered flags at the White House and other public buildings and facilities to be flown at half-staff in honor of Dole. He served 27 years as a Senator from Kansas.
