The Winfield Police department says on November 9th at about 12:30 a.m., officers with the Winfield Police Department were dispatched to the 3400 block of Osage Street for a report of multiple gunshots. Officers spoke with the reporting party as well as several neighbors who reported hearing gunshots in the area. While investigating the report, Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of HH Constant Road for a gunshot victim. Officers contacted a 52-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim reported being shot while sitting outside a residence in a vehicle. The victim was transported to William Newton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This is an ongoing investigation. It is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no current threat to the public.
