From USD 470: IXL Elementary recently implemented a Playground Communication Board. The board helps students who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to communicate with their peers while on the playground. These students have the same icons/words on their AAC that are displayed on the board. The board also shows sign language options for students to communicate with one another.
