Sarah Mathews’ Managerial Accounting class recently toured KanPak, LLC in Arkansas City and were able to relate class material to the real world. In Managerial Accounting, students learn accounting from the perspective of a manufacturing company and study how the physical flow of the production process follows and matches the cost flow. Thanks to the tour, students were able to visualize and put into perspective content learned in the classroom. The visit consisted of a guided tour, and then a question-and-answer session with an accountant for KanPak.
