The State Department of Health and Environment says the number of abortions performed in Kansas increased by 9.1% last year over 2019, and the increase is largely driven by women who traveled to Kansas from out of state to get their procedures. The state reported that out-of-state patients outnumbered in-state Kansas patients for the first time in nearly five decades.
