Cowley College’s Criminal Justice Department teamed up with Winfield Police recently to host Wrap Technologies on Cowley’s main campus in Arkansas City. Wrap Technologies is a relatively new company that produces a unique product called the Bola Wrap. The Bola Wrap is a device that launches a “bola” or cord anchored on both sides with small hooks in the anchors. The bola wraps around a subject briefly detaining them without any pain compliance used. In exchange for hosting, Wrap Technologies offered a free, five hour Master Instructor course for those wishing to have the certification.
