From Ark City police: According to national averages, an uninsured non-injury traffic crash could cost as much as $10,000 or more. Likewise, an injury accident could be as costly as $75,000+. ACPD is committed to reducing the number of traffic crashes on our city streets to not only reduce injuries, but also avoid costs of repairs and related expenditures. But, they need your help. In April 2021, ACPD tracked 22 total traffic crashes. The number was split down the middle, 11 a piece for injury and non-injury collisions. The department uses a computer program to track crash activity.
