The City-Cowley County Health Department is loosening some restrictions in regards to the COVID 19 pandemic. The updates take effect today. There will no longer be size limits on mass outdoor gatherings. On-site operations of businesses or other entities are no longer restricted by size. Public Health Officer Thomas Langer says social gatherings indoors of 300 people or more, where space is available, can go up to 60 percent occupancy, when it had been 25 percent. He said any business, organizational, or local restrictions that are in place must still be abided by. He encouraged people to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.
