The Kansas jobless rate dropped a bit in March. The new number is a preliminary estimate from the Kansas Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The jobless rate for March was 3 point 7 percent, down from 3 point 8 percent in February. The unemployment rate for Cowley County for March was 4 point 1 percent.
