A Winfield Correctional Facility staff member has died due to COVID 19 complications. The state department of corrections secretary said 54 year old David Warner was hired at the facility in 2015. He’d worked at Hutchinson Correctional Facility before that, starting in 2010. He’s the first Winfield Correctional Facility staff death related to the virus, and the sixth death with the state department of corrections staff from COVID 19. Warner died on Thursday, March 18th.
