Cowley College has announced that the ACES program coordinator and the Cowley College ACES program were recently given the Good Neighbor Award by the Beautification and Tree Advisory Board. Rather than being awarded monthly, this award is only given as needed to recognize and applaud exemplary volunteer efforts. The Board voted unanimously to give the award to James Fry and the Cowley College ACES program after the students helped move numerous downed tree limbs and branches, as well as pieces of furniture and bags of refuse, to curbs for several disabled and/or elderly residents so they could take advantage of Citywide Pickup Week in October 2020.
