Ark City city commissioners this week approved a contract to do upgrades to the elevator in the municipal building. The group approved an agreement with a company out of Illinois for the work, according to ctnewsonline.com. The project will take about six weeks to complete once crews start work on it. The elevator is more than 40 years old. The upgrade would replace all of the controls, the elevator car, guides, and sensors.
