New groups can get vaccine in Phase 2 of Kansas plan

Governor Laura Kelly announced the state is moving to Phase 2 of the vaccination plan. It includes three new groups of people who can get the vaccine. People age 65 and older can now get the vaccine. People with jobs that require a lot of contact with the public and are critical for public health and safety can get the vaccine in Phase 2. People who are living in a congregate setting where social distancing is not possible also can get the vaccine in Phase 2. The Governor said as of yesterday about 3.8% of the state’s population has been vaccinated.
