The City of Arkansas City will shift to a four-day sanitation schedule next week, due to the closure of all city offices on Monday, January 18th, in observance of Martin Luther King Junior Day. All of Monday’s and parts of Tuesday’s routes will be collected on January 19th. The rest of Tuesday’s route and all of Wednesday’s routes will be collected on January 20th. Thursday’s and Friday’s routes will be unaffected by the holiday disruption. All refuse should be placed at normal pickup locations by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day of pickup. Recycling services will only be offered on Friday.
