COWLEY REACHES AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACT RENEWAL BETWEEN TRUSTEES AND PRESIDENT

Cowley College Trustees and the President have reached agreeable terms on a contract renewal. Having recently completed his fourth year as president at Cowley College, Dr. Dennis C. Rittle was rewarded with a rolling three-year contract effective July 1st. Dr. Rittle is the fifth president in the history of Cowley College. He began serving in higher education in 1995 and has provided educational leadership for government, for-profit, and public educational sectors. Chair Jill Long and the Board of Trustees agreed that Dr. Rittle’s contract will automatically be extended by an additional 12 months equating to three years on July 1st of each subsequent year. Long said that the Board of Trustees look forward to the future with Dr. Rittle’s leadership and knowledge, and the college has experienced continued growth and accomplished many great things during Dr. Rittle’s tenure. In response to the Board’s generosity, Dr. Rittle and his family have agreed to donate any cost of living adjustment difference in his salary to support the Student Emergency Fund and to support faculty and staff by offsetting the cost of their professional development in degree completion.
