Cowley County Sheriff’s Office says it is that time of year again! The deer are out and we are seeing an increase in car versus deer motor vehicle accidents. Watch for other deer. If you see one deer in front of you, chances are there will be others. Deer are most active at dusk and dawn when vision is already limited. Use your headlights. Brake don’t swerve. If you see a deer, brake firmly and calmly, and stay in your lane. Swerving could make you lose control of your vehicle and a turn bad situation worse.
